We worked with Pathstone Development, Passero Associates, Christa Construction and EC4B to redevelop the old Sears building at the Medley Center in Irondequoit, NY into Senior housing.

The previous Sears space was retrofitted for 73 apartment units, 3 courtyards, and multi-tenant storage space. In addition, a new pedestrian bridge and 4-story building with 84 housing units was built over the abandoned parking lot. Additional amenities include community rooms, a fitness center, large central gathering lounges, and an office for Rochester Regional Health services.

Three new courtyards were added to the existing space by removing large sections of the floor and roof structures, adding access to outside garden and picnic space and natural light to the very center of the building. HSE provided the complete structural engineering design services for this project.
