From our headquarters in Victor, NY, current principals David T. Finkbeiner and Jeffrey W. Hurd, lead a team of experienced structural engineers who have earned a reputation for their attention to detail and responsiveness.

Combined, we have over 150 years of structural engineering experience, and we collaborate and draw from that experience and knowledge on every project.
HSE currently has 5 Licensed Professional Engineers on staff. We have often been named to the List of Top 25 Engineering Firms in the Rochester Business Journal.
Commercial & Retail Buildings
We have extensive experience working with different design and administrative teams including various owners, developers, architects, Civil/Site/MEP engineers, and construction managers. Building structures have ranged from small one-story additions to multi-story buildings encompassing over 200,000 sq ft.
Education
HSE’s structural engineers work hand-in-hand with architects and MEP engineers to design new elementary, middle and high schools throughout New York State. Often the projects include working within, around, and even over existing buildings. We understand that every school has its unique challenges, and we thrive on making the architect’s vision come to fruition.
